Congressional Tribute to Ahmet Ertegun

The Turkish Coalition of America leads an effort with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to pay tribute to the contributions by the late Ahmet Ertegun to breaking down racial barriers and for his life-long dedication to promoting African American music.

TCA would like to thank Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) for paying tribute to this great Turkish American in the United States Congress and including the following in the Congressional Record:

In March, Senator George V.Voinovich (R-OH) also paid tribute to Ahmet Ertegun in the Senate by recognizing his leadership in building the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in the Senator's home town of Cleveland, as follows:
